Ghanaians artists are sometimes associated with ‘Odo Yewu’ type of songs. By this, I’m referring to songs where artists profess their love or simply sing about love in the most romantic way.

For those who don’t speak Twi, ‘Odo Nwom’ translates to ‘Love Songs’. As it’s Valentines Day soon I’ve compiled a small list of some of the best romantic and sweet songs by Ghanaian artists over the years, both old school and modern. I’ve also created an ‘Odo Nwom’ playlist including these songs and a few more.
Nana’s Views: Odo Nwom playlist – available on Apple Music and Spotify.
If you have any songs that you think deserve to be in the playlist, feel free to reach out to me on Instagram/Twitter (@nanasviews).
